Abarth 500 & 595 Serues

The optional Akrapovic Sound Kit enables owners of selected Akrapovic car exhausts to control the sound of the system from the cockpit of their machine. Using Akrapovic technology, drivers can easily switch between the quiet mode and a sportier sound. With the use of a receiver to drive the actuators that open or close the valves at the end of the exhaust system, drivers can use the Sound Remote Controller or the new smartphone app (for iOS and Android) to regulate the valves. The flap control is intended for the Abarth 500 / C series from 2008-17, as the Akrapovic exhaust system suitable for it includes a closed link pipe. Thus, the sound can be improved by installing the Akrapovic flap control, but the homologation is no more valid. The Akrapovic exhaust system for the 595 series from 2012-20, on the other hand, includes an open link pipe. This exhaust system is therefore homologated with a continuous open sound & the installation of the Akrapovic flap control only contributes to drive the exhaust system also with closed flap. In the case of the Abarth 595 series, the flap control is homologated.
